What is a certified translation?
A certified translation is a complete, word-for-word translation accompanied by a signed statement attesting it is accurate and complete. USCIS, courts, universities, and most U.S. agencies require this certification — a plain translation without the signed statement is routinely rejected.
A rejected translation can cost you months
USCIS and courts reject documents translated without a proper certification — and a rejection can mean a Request for Evidence, a missed filing window, or a postponed hearing. When your immigration case, court date, or enrollment deadline depends on one document, the translation is not the place to gamble.

Every certified translation carries our signed accuracy statement, our 100% USCIS Acceptance Guarantee, and a full-year accuracy warranty.

If you need a document translated for USCIS, a court, a school, or another official purpose, Taika Translations provides certified translation with a signed accuracy statement accepted by the requesting institution — the exact certification format U.S. agencies expect, attached to a complete, literal translation of your original document.
Most customers order directly from the online store: pick the document type, add notarization if your receiving institution requires it, pay, and upload your document through the secure uploader. If your document type isn’t listed — a court judgment, an adoption dossier, a business record — request a quote and describe it; Taika translates far more document types than any product page can show, and quotes come back the same business day.
Every certified translation is produced by our TEP process — professional translation, independent editing, and proofreading by a second qualified linguist — because a certification statement is only as good as the translation behind it. That process, refined across 80,000+ projects since 2009, is why we can put an acceptance guarantee and a full-year accuracy warranty on every document we certify.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a certified translation?
A certified translation is a translation accompanied by a signed statement from the translator or translation company attesting that the translation is complete and accurate to the best of their knowledge. Most USCIS, legal, and academic uses require this certification — a standard translation without it is often not accepted.
Does USCIS require a certified translation?
Yes. USCIS regulations at 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) require that any foreign-language document submitted include a full English translation the translator has certified as complete and accurate.
What is the difference between a certified and a notarized translation?
Certification is the translator's own signed statement of accuracy. Notarization adds a notary public's verification of the translator's identity and signature on that statement — it does not verify the translation's accuracy itself. Some institutions require notarization in addition to certification; check with the requesting agency.
How much does a certified translation cost?
Certified document translations start at $26 per page for standard documents like birth certificates, with exact pricing shown on each product page before you pay. Add-ons such as notarization are itemized at checkout, and documents not in the store are quoted the same business day.
How fast can I get my certified translation?
Standard turnaround is 2–3 business days for most single documents. If your deadline is sooner, rush service is available — mention your date in the order notes or quote request and we will confirm what is possible before you pay.
Will my certified translation be accepted?
Yes — certified translations from Taika are accepted by USCIS, courts, universities, and government agencies, and they are backed by our 100% USCIS Acceptance Guarantee: if a translation is rejected over translation quality, we correct it free or refund it.
Can you translate a document that isn't listed in the store?
Almost certainly. The store covers the most-ordered document types, but Taika translates far more — request a quote, describe the document, and you will get pricing the same business day.
