The part buyers miss
Category 541930 is titled Translation and Interpretation Services, and that title does the contract a disservice. GSA’s own published description of the category runs considerably wider — and because it is GSA’s wording on GSA’s site, it is what a contracting officer can rely on.
It explicitly includes sign language services (ASL/English, Manually Coded English, Pidgin Signed English, Contact Sign, International Sign), deaf interpreting and tactile interpreting, closed captioning, transcription of Braille documents, cued English transliteration, TDD and TTY telephone services, and Section 508 compliant language services.
And it includes “logistical coordination; site supervision and quality control of all related services” along with related project and programme management.
That last clause is the one worth reading twice. It means the coordination of accessible and multilingual events — not just the interpreters, but the running of it — sits inside a category you may already be ordering against. Agencies routinely put that work through a separate procurement because the category title made them assume it was documents only.
What this does not cover

The language and accessibility services do, and so does their coordination — 'logistical coordination, site supervision and quality control of all related services' is GSA's phrasing, not ours. So ASL interpreters, CART, captioning, Braille materials and 508-conformant event documents, plus the coordination of them, fit the category. Standalone lodging negotiation does not; that is a different GSA offering we do not hold, and we say so on the government lodging page rather than letting you discover it at award.
Is OLM on the contract, and what is it for?
Yes — the record shows category 541930 plus OLM (Order-Level Materials). OLM lets supplies and services that are incidental to, and in support of, the main order be included at the order level rather than needing their own procurement.
